Manitoba Community Mobilization Initiatives

Initiative Objectives

Manitoba’s CM initiatives work to achieve the following objectives:
 

1. Enhance participant safety and well-being; and

2. Improve the coordination of services for participants.

15 CM initiatives exist throughout the province implementing slightly different CM models.

Each model shares common elements including:

• Multi-sector collaboration;

• Partnerships with local police agencies;

• Coordination of appropriate services;

• More efficient use of existing services;

• Information sharing protocols; and

• Community engagement and commitment.
